Francesco Targhetta was born in Treviso in 1980 and is a high-school teacher of literature. He published a collection of poems, Fiaschi (2009), and a novel in verse, Perciò veniamo bene nelle fotografie (2012). In 2014, he won the Premio Delfini and the Premio Ciampi with the booklet Le cose sono due (Valigie Rosse, 2014). Le vite potenziali (Mondadori, 2018), his first prose novel, was shortlisted for the Premio Campiello and won the Premio Berto. In 2022 he published La colpa al capitalismo.
