Manuel Vilas (Barbastro) is one of the leading Spanish poets and novelists of his generation. His poetry collections include Resurrección (2005), Calor (2008), and El hundimiento (2015), all published by Visor. In 2022, Lumen released a comprehensive anthology of his poetry entitled Una sola vida. Vilas is also the author of several novels, including España (2008), Aire nuestro (2009), Los inmortales (2012), and El luminoso regalo (2013), all published by Alfaguara. In 2018, he released the novel Ordesa, which became an international success and has been translated into more than twenty languages. Ordesa was named Book of the Year by several Spanish media outlets, including Babelia, La Vanguardia, and El Mundo, and won the prestigious Prix Femina for the best foreign novel published in France. In October 2019, Vilas was nominated for the Premio Planeta for his novel Alegría, which has been translated into several European languages. In 2023, his recently published novel, Amor constante, now available in Italy, France, and Portugal, received the Premio Nadal.
