Synopsis: Miriam is a 13-year-old girl who must take care of her baby brother due to her stepfather’s abandonment and her mother’s clinical depression. When her best friend Natalia invites her to a party, Miriam will do everything to put her little brother Noé to sleep in order to assist. Unable to put him to sleep, Miriam gives Noé one of her mother’s sleeping pills. When Miriam comes back from the party the next morning, she discovers Noé won’t wake up. This incident will forever change Miriam’s attitude towards life.

Profile: Andrea Saavedra de la Teja is a film director born in Mexico City. Before studying Cinematography at Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, Andrea obtained a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. She has written and directed one documentary short film: “La Labor de Sísifo” (winner of a PROCINE grant and selected in Shorts Mx festival) and three fiction short films: “Todos tus daños”, “Reunión”, “Náufragos”. Her last work is a documentary feature film titled “Los Incendios”, which currently is in post production. Andrea has also worked in several films as Script Supervisor, Assistant Director and Editor.
