Synopsis: What initially appears to be an unassuming portrait of everyday life in Lebanon—depicting familiar settings such as a hospital, a butcher shop, and encounters with nurses, taxi drivers, and Syrian and Ethiopian migrant workers—gradually unveils an illegal organ trafficking network and its operators. A chorus of characters interacts and weaves around Jean, the latest victim of this brutal profit scheme.

Profile: Maria Sayegh (21) is a recent graduate from The Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in Beirut, Lebanon, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema and audiovisual production. Maria developed a passion for writing and films from a very early age, and creating new worlds where she expresses herself freely became her escape. Her senior film, Match, was an exploration of intertwined storylines that allowed the audience to discover different characters, showing the complexity of life and the absence of definitive good or evil.
