Opportunities

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice has had a strong international focus since its establishment in 1868 as the first “Scuola Superiore di Commercio” (Advanced School for Commerce) in Italy. From the outset, the school was noted for its innovative international approach to studying, teaching, and research.
Just like in the past, the combination of practical economics training with language studies enables the university to train highly skilled professionals in business, entrepreneurship, economics, finance, diplomacy, and law.

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the Department of Economics offer numerous opportunities to study or participate in internships abroad through partnerships with universities in Europe and around the world. These opportunities are complemented by international initiatives in Venice, such as the Ca’ Foscari School for International Education and the Venice International University.

CFA Institute Research Challenge

The Department of Economics encourages participation in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, an annual global competition that offers university students practical mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics.
In the role of financial analysts, the selected teams compete in preparing an Equity Research (economic/financial analysis) on a publicly traded company. During the competition, participants' skills in analysis, valuation, report writing, teamwork, and presentation are evaluated.
This is an opportunity particularly aimed at students enrolled in Economics and Finance, Economics, Finance and Sustainability and Global Development and Entrepreneurship.

Erasmus+

The Erasmus+ Programme offers students the chance to participate in cultural experiences abroad. It allows them to familiarise themselves with different higher education systems, enhance their language skills, and connect with peers from other countries. This contributes to the development of a more unified Europe.

The Erasmus+ Study Programme issues a call for applications every year, tipically in January. The chosen students will begin their study period abroad in the following academic year.

Ecotopia

Ecotopia is an international Bachelor’s Degree Programme focused on Economics, Management, Finance, Business and Sustainability topics. The programme is entirely in English and includes a 10-month period abroad at one of the partner universities. Students must also attend at least one Summer School (an additional one is optional).

This Programme is open to students enrolled in the following Bachelor’s Degree Programmes: Economics and Business, International Trade and Tourism.

Internships abroad

Ca’ Foscari promotes and organises internships worldwide.
