Discover the international Educational Programmes offered by the Department of Economics: Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree, PhD and Professional Master’s Programmes in English with many international opportunities.
The English-taught courses promote the development of a multicultural environment, both in and out of the Campus, where economic knowledge merges with linguistic, cultural, relational and social skills.
Many international partnerships and collaborations contribute to organising initiatives for a highly-specific education, thus enhancing opportunities for in-depth analysis and job perspectives worldwide.
Curriculum Economics, Markets and Finance
Economics, Markets and Finance values economic knowledge across a wide range of international dynamics, with a multidisciplinary, cross-cutting approach. This is in line with the long tradition of economic studies that has characterised Ca’ Foscari since its foundation as the Advanced School of Economics in 1868.

The Professional Master’s Programme in Global Economics and Social Affairs - GESAM aims to promote a new generation of leaders and professionals in the global arena. They will also have a deep understanding of economic phenomena associated with globalisation and its impact on social issues. The programme emphasises the belief that economic and social progress should go hand in hand, and that social progress should be intentionally planned, rather than being a natural byproduct of economic advancement.

This Programme aims to deepen knowledge of the dynamics underlying the functioning of the international system from a legal, economic-commercial, historical, and political point of view, taking into account the characteristics of specific geographic areas or of particular local and global phenomena in the light of specific political, social-economic, health, environmental, or religious factors.
The shift towards competitiveness over cooperation is becoming more apparent. The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has further influenced this shift, affecting the development of society, technology, work and infrastructure. The implications for individuals and communities on a cultural and mental level are still being processed.
Some activities of this Master’s Programme are carried out in Italian.

The Executive Master in Quantum Machine Learning delves into the exploration and study of quantum computing from various perspectives. It is based on a modern approach to computing that relies on the principles of quantum mechanics. In contrast to traditional computing, which utilises bits (zeros or ones) to encode and process information, quantum computing harnesses the properties of quantum physics, such as superposition of quantum states and entanglement. The key advantage of quantum computing lies in its ability to efficiently tackle problems that are challenging for traditional computing in terms of both hardware resources and calculation times required.
