Summer School for Sustainability - University of Gothenburg

The Summer School for Sustainability is a summer school organized by the University of Gothenburg, focused on sustainability themes, that features the following characteristics:

  • short and intensive teaching courses (from June 27 to August 2, 2024) providing 7.5 ECTS;
  • blended form, virtual and physical presence;
  • participation of international students from all around the world.

How to participate

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice has the opportunity to fund, within the Erasmus+ Programme, two mobilities for the academic year 2023/2024 for participation in the Summer School for Sustainability organised by the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) a partner institution in the frame of the European University EUTOPIA..

The University of Gothenburg is actively working towards sustainable development and aims to be a reference point in the world of higher education on societal development issues, contributing to building a sustainable world. 

The mobilities will be funded as Erasmus short blended mobilities.

Procedures for students selected for the Summer School for Sustainability a.y. 2023/2024

The description of the following procedures is addressed to students officially selected for a mobility in the frame of the Summer School for Sustainability organized by the University of Gothenburg.
Procedures and documents might be subject to change. Students are invited to check their institutional e-mail account (studentnumber@stud.unive.it) and this page regularly.
Failing to comply with the procedures described below or in the Call or communicated via e-mail might result, in the most significant cases, in the cancellation of the mobility and the revocation of the grant already received.

  • after Ca’ Foscari has officially submitted your nomination to the host institution, follow the instructions concerning a possible application procedure required by the host institution or communicated by  erasmusout@unive.it 
  • check that your ID or passport are valid for the entire mobility period. Some non-EU countries participating in the Programme require an entry visa, which must be applied for in advance at the host country’s embassy/consulate in Italy. For more information, please see www.viaggiaresicuri.it [ITA]
  • if you are a non-EU citizen, make sure well in advance that you hold all the travel documents required to enter and stay in the country of your mobility, by contacting the host institution to receive information concerning the necessary documents, and to hold a valid Italian stay permit when you return to Italy. The Immigration Team is available for support on the matter (  immigrationteam@unive.it).
  • contact your local health authority (ASL) to find out if your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) entitles you to healthcare in your chosen destination country or whether you need supplementary health insurance. For detailed information on all countries see the website of the Ministry of Health [ITA]
  • make sure that your CartaConto is activated
  • sign the Grant Agreement according to the procedures and timing communicated via e-mail by  erasmusout@unive.it
  • fill in the Learning Agreement form provided by your host institution or by  erasmusout@unive.it
  • register at www.viaggiaresicuri.it [ITA] and inquire about the general standard of safety of your destination.  
  • sign and send to  erasmusout@unive.it the disclaimer for international mobility students that you can find attached
  • make accomodation and travel arrangements
  • ask the host institution to sign the conformation of Stay that you can find attached
  • send your mobility certificate and your transcript of records (if applicable) issued by the host institution via e-mail to  erasmusout@unive.it
  • complete the credit recognition procedure, by filling in the form you will receive from  erasmusout@unive.it
  • fill in the Participant Report - EU SURVEY that you will receive via e-mail, required in order to receive the final instalment of the grant
  • in order to allow the International Office - Mobility Unit to submit the Final Report of the Programme, you must send all the documentation regarding your mobility by 11/08/2024
