Incoming interns

If you wish to carry out an internship period at an office of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, you have to get in touch with the chosen office directly. Please make sure that you put the Internship Unit ( stage@unive.it) and the Welcome Unit ( immigrationteam@unive.it) in cc. The latter will provide you with all the necessary information regarding your arrival and stay in Italy and also support you in the procedures for requesting a Fiscal Code and Italia Residency Permit (if needed).

Here you will find some useful information on the procedures to follow:

  • make sure that there is an ongoing Internship Agreement. For further information regarding the necessary documentation, please, refer to the Internship Unit  stage@unive.it
  • agree with the hosting body on the duration and conditions of your internship program which should be approved through an Internship Project
  • remember to send your CV to let the hosting body evaluate your application

Please find below some useful key-words for your internship:

  • Internship Agreement: compulsory agreement between the two bodies involved (sending and hosting), a compulsory document to start the internship
  • hosting body: the office/unit at Ca’ Foscari University which hosts the intern
  • sending body: the 'home university' responsible for the internship procedures, the insurance coverage and the recognition of the internship after the end of the student’s internship
  • Internship Project: the document with information regarding the internship (place, duration, activities), signed by the intern, the sending body and the hosting body

Contacts:

  • Internship unit: office responsible for the internship procedures. It monitors and signes the agreement. It also keeps the copies of the internship documentation
  • Welcome Unit: office responsible for welcoming international students and staff, which provides support regarding the fiscal code, visa, Italian Residence Permit and anything related to the first bureaucratic issues
  • Housing office: office responsible for supporting students to find accommodation.

Before starting the internship

At least 7 days before the start of your internship, fill out the online form prepared by the Internship Unit, in which to enter the details of your internship.
