Accessible route 1 - Santa Marta (5/10 minutes)

Take one of the following water buses:

  • Lines 4.1 or 5.1 (accessible) from the Ferrovia, Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto stops, or
  • Line 6.1 from Piazzale Roma (one wheelchair on board at a time at the discretion of the captain);

then get off at the S. Marta stop.

  • Main entrance: after exiting the landing stage area go up the ramp, cross the road (via the pedestrian crossing on the right), go straight ahead then down the ramp. Continue across Campiello Longhi keeping to the left. You can avoid the three steps by going down the ramp at the end of the low wall. Go down Calle dei Sechi then turn into the first calle on the left (Ramo dei Sechi), which turns left and becomes Calle Larga S. Marta. Keep going until you reach the entrance to the Santa Marta campus.
  • Secondary entrance: after exiting the landing stage area go up the ramp then cross the road (via the pedestrian crossing on the right) then keep heading right. After passing the Guardia di Finanza offices, continue along Rampa di san Basilio and through the parking lot in the port area. After passing buildings 17, 16, 13 and 12 on your left, turn right and keep going alongside the Giudecca canal. On the left is a metal gate leading to the seminar rooms.

Accessible route 2 - Stazione Marittima parking lot

The campus can also be reached by car.
The Stazione Marittima parking lot is alongside the complex.

Remember to contact the University Disabled Students service at least two weeks in advance in order to request the Port Authority permit giving you access to the port area by car.

Building accessibility

The S. Marta complex consists of three buildings known as “cubo”, “parallelepipedo” and “prefabbricato”. The main entrance is equipped with a ramp and all buildings are accessible via ramps and elevators or stairlifts. Aula 2 and Aula 3 in the “prefabbricato” can only be reached by stairs.

There are three accessible toilets in the complex. One is on the ground floor near the entrance, between Aula Gradoni and Aula Nuova; the other two are inside the parallelpiped, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
