Economics

Our campus

Campuses

The Department of Economics has two Campuses, in different cities: both are lively, stimulating study and research centres enlivened by events and educational activities.

San Giobbe campus

The San Giobbe Economics Campus is located in Venice.
In 2021, Ca’ Foscari completed the expansion of the Economics Campus at San Giobbe, marking a significant milestone in the project to develop new buildings and facilities for students, teachers and researchers at Ca’ Foscari. The development has brought together accommodation facilities, faculty workrooms, and administrative offices of the Departments of Economics, as well as the Economics and Management Library (BEC). This reorganisation provides more space and efficient resources for our students, faculty and researchers.

Treviso campus

The Treviso Campus is located in Treviso, 30km from Venice.
The Department of Economics participates in the inter-Department School of Economics, Languages and Entrepreneurship (SELE) in Treviso. This programme aims to improve students' proficiency in economics, management, languages and culture within the contexts of businesses, markets, national and international relations, as well as interlinguistic and intercultural interactions.

San Giobbe residential complex

Our state-of-the-art 23,000sq.m. Campus offers more than 230 lodgings, individual and group study spaces with Wi-Fi throughout, a newly built cafeteria, a 2,000sq.m. green space for socialising between lectures, and easy access to assistance and support at the dedicated front office.

The San Giobbe Residential Complex is one of the most sustainable buildings in Venice, equipped with solar panels for heating and electricity, rainwater harvesting, and energy-saving technology. This includes sensors that prevent the heating and cooling system from operating if the windows are open, as well as detectors and sensors for optimal management of the lighting system in rooms and corridors.

San Giobbe lunch and study room

“La Corte" is a versatile area within the San Giobbe Economics Campus. It is intended to function as a cafeteria and lunch space, with food services provided by ESU - Regional Authority for the Right to University Studies. Additionally, it serves as a common room for studying.

This space is open to students, faculty, researchers, and staff and aims to enhance the sense of community and connection among the “Cafoscarini” (i.e. the entire Ca’ Foscari community) in the modern setting of San Giobbe Economics Campus.

Cafoscarina 1 bookshop

The San Giobbe Economics Campus is also home to the Cafoscarina 1 bookshop, where students and researchers can find a wide variety of books focused on Economics and Management topics.

Specifically, at Cafoscarina 1, you can find books about Economics, Corporate and Business Management, Marketing, Management, Law (Private Law, Public Law, Tax Law, Labour Law) and Mathematics, available in both Italian and English.

BEC - Economics and Management Library

The Economics and Management Library (BEC) provides access to an extensive collection of resources covering all subject areas, including over 250.000 volumes and 3.300 periodicals, as well as electronic databases, e-journals, and e-books.

This valuable resource can be used by all students and researchers for their academic and research pursuits. The library staff will help with reference and lending services and provide bibliographic support.
