QS Sustainability, Ca' Foscari in the Italian top 10 of the world ranking

Ca' Foscari University of Venice is recognised as one of the leading academic institutions in sustainability. In the QS Sustainability University Rankings 2025, it is ranked 262nd worldwide out of 1,744 universities assessed and 7th in Italy. 

Interdisciplinary Science Rankings: Ca' Foscari in the world's top 250

Ca' Foscari has been included in the inaugural Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings (ISR) and is recognised as one of the world's top 250 universities for interdisciplinary research in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

University closure for the Madonna della Salute

The venues of Ca' Foscari University in Venice and Mestre will be closed from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 November 2024 for the Festa della Madonna della Salute. Activities at the Treviso Campus on November 21 and 22 will proceed as usual. Find out more about library closures and opening hours. 

'Caserma Pepe' at Venice Lido: project for student residence gets funded

The Ministry of University and Research is funding a project by Ca' Foscari University Venice to construct a student residence at the "ex Caserma Pepe" on the Venice Lido, with an investment of 26.9 million euros.
The project from the Venetian university received the third-largest funding among all submitted projects.

Ca' Foscari Honorary Fellowship Awarded to Professor Masaki Sakuramoto

On Wednesday, 6 November 2024, Ca' Foscari University awarded Prof. Masaki Sakuramoto the title of Honorary Fellow of the Academic Faculty.

All Saints' Day, University Closed on November 1

Ca' Foscari University's campuses and venues in Venice, Mestre, and Treviso will be closed on Friday, November 1 (All Saints' Day). The university libraries (BALI, BAS, and BEC) will also be closed on that day. However, the BALI-CFZ and BAUM libraries will remain open.

Interdisciplinary Biodiversity: apply now for the new Winter School

The innovative programme brings together experts from various fields, including biology, climate studies, social sciences, and economics, and welcomes participants from diverse academic backgrounds. Young researchers, including master's and PhD students, can apply until November 7, 2024.

Network for student well-being inaugurates on World Mental Health Day

On October 10th, a framework agreement was signed at Ca' Tron by ULSS 3 Serenissima, ESU, the Venetian universities Ca’ Foscari and Iuav, Accademia di Belle Arti, Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello, and IUSVE. The aim of this agreement is to establish a local network of services to support the mental health and well-being of students and the entire academic community.
