Have Your Say: Vote in the Student Elections on 8-10 April

The elections for the renewal of student representation in the governing bodies of Ca’ Foscari University and in the Board of Directors of ESU-ARDSU Venezia have been announced.

From 9:00 am on 8 April to 12:00 noon on 10 April 2025, you will be able to vote online to elect your representatives for the next two academic years. These representatives will take part in the Academic Senate, the Board of Governors and in Department Boards, Joint Committees, the Quality Assurance Groups of the Departments, in the Interdepartmental School of Economics, Languages and Entrepreneurship at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and in the Board of Directors of the Regional Agency for the Right to University Education ESU-ARDSU Venezia.

Every vote matters and can make a difference; the elections for Ca' Foscari's bodies will be deemed valid only if at least 10% of eligible voters cast their ballots.

Voting in student elections presents a vital opportunity to have your voice heard and engage actively in university life. By casting your vote, you demonstrate your concern for the future of the institution and the entire Ca’ Foscari community, helping to bring the expression of your vision and requests to the key decision-making bodies that influence the university's direction.

We have summarised the key information below, but more details are available on the dedicated election page [ITA].

Who can vote?

Anyone who is regularly enrolled in Ca’ Foscari study programmes, including PhD students and students who are enrolled beyond the standard course duration, is eligible to vote. If you have any doubts, you can check your eligibility by contacting the Institutional Affairs Office at aff.generali@unive.it.

How and when will the voting take place?

The vote will be held online from 9:00 am on 8 April to 12:00 noon on 10 April 2025.
To encourage gender equality, each voter can indicate two preferences for every Ca' Foscari governing body they are eligible to vote for.
Further information regarding the procedure will be provided in the upcoming weeks.

Who can stand as a candidate, and how?

Any student who is first-time enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programme at Ca’ Foscari can stand for election, provided they are not over one year beyond the standard course duration (fuoricorso). Each governing body may have additional specific requirements. For complete information, refer to Article 5 of the Election Decree.
