Several Master’s degree programmes have been revamped to reflect current demands:
Ca’ Foscari’s science departments provide modern STEM programmes (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) that are highly sought after by employers. These include:
These programmes focus on technical skills while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. These competencies are crucial for developing innovative technological and sustainable solutions and offer excellent job opportunities in a global and competitive market.
To challenge stereotypes, we actively encourage female participation in STEM fields with numerous initiatives and financial support, promoting equal opportunities and inclusion in scientific disciplines.
The science campus in Mestre, where the courses are held, is a modern and advanced science hub. With its growing laboratories, classrooms, library, and multifunctional spaces, it hosts more than 2,400 students.
A recent innovation in STEM fields are the new degree programmes in Engineering Physics (Bachelor’s, in Italian, and the English-taught Master’s degree), designed to train a modern and cosmopolitan class of high-level undergraduates, equipped to tackle issues related to advanced technologies, as well as in fields such as biophysics and biomedicine, or economics and finance, where quantitative physics and engineering approaches are increasingly relevant. Employment statistics for graduates in these fields are impressive: 100% employed within 12 months of graduation, and over 90% within six months.
Ca’ Foscari’s interdisciplinary approach helps students connect theory and practice to tackle global challenges such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, climate change, cybersecurity, and cultural heritage digitalisation.
Examples of Bachelor’s degree programmes:
Languages and economics form the foundation of Ca’ Foscari's academic programmes. Our curriculum integrates the study of nearly forty languages with cultural exploration, encompassing social studies, literature, history, philosophy, and art history. We offer undergraduate courses that address nearly all global regions, including Language, Civilization, and the Science of Language, focusing on Western languages and LIS (Italian Sign Language), as well as Language, Culture, and Society studies of Asia and Mediterranean Africa related to Asia and the Near and Middle East.
Economics and languages are also represented at the Treviso campus, with Bachelor’s Degree programmes in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation and International Trade and Tourism.
At the Master’s level:
In the field of language, the recent inter-university Master's degree programme in Pedagogical Sciences for inclusive communication mediated by Italian Sign Language (LIS), co-run with the University of Palermo and Roma Tre, continues.
