Double Degree with Goethe-Universität (Frankfurt)

Since the academic year 2016/2017, Ca’ Foscari University - Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies (DSLCC) has had an inter-university co-operation relationship with the Goethe-Universität of Frankfurt am Main (Germany). It was created as a joint study program, integrating the educational paths of the two partner universities and providing mobility periods for students and teachers. At the end of the course the students then get a double degree:

  • Master's Degree in Language Sciences at the University Ca 'Foscari University of Venice;
  • Master in Italienstudien from the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main.

Entry requirements

Access to the Double degree programme is available only to those students who enrol to Language Sciences Master’s Programme at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

Applicants must hold a B2 German language which will be evaluated during the selection process.


Application and selection

Students can apply for the programme following the procedures and deadlines outlined in the DJD Call for applications and its annexes, which are published annually.

The results of the selection process are published on this webpage, according to the timelines specified in Annex A to the Call.

Outcomes


Period of study abroad

Students will be contacted by the staff of the Counseling and Welcome Unit for information about the procedures to carry out before, during and after the mobility period, taking place in the second academic year.

Information about scholarship possibilities can be found in the annual call for applications.

All students will be required to submit a Learning Agreement, listing all the academicactivities they are planning to take abroad, taking into consideration the table ofequivalences between the courses offered by the two institutions. The exams taken abroad will be recognized in Ca’ Foscari study plan after the completion of the mobility.


Graduation application

After having graduated at the partner University, it will be possible to start the procedure to requestthe diploma of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Both degrees will be legally recognized in thecountries of issuance.
