Italian Erasmus Programme

The Italian Erasmus project allows students enrolled in a degree programme to study and participate in training activities, such as taking exams or preparing their theses, at another Italian consortium university. This facilitates the development of innovative and multidisciplinary educational paths.

The mobility period can range from three to six months, based on individual agreements with host universities. It will occur in the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.

The Italian Erasmus programme is supported with a scholarship financed by ministerial funds (DM 548 of 28 March 2024). If the ministerial allocation is less than the resources put out to tender, the University will cover the shortfall.

Admission and starting requirements

You are eligible to apply for the Italian Erasmus programme if:

  • You are enrolled as a full-time student for the academic year 2024/2025 within the standard duration of your course of study.
  • You are regularly enrolled at Ca' Foscari University for the academic year 2024/2025 in one of the courses included in the programme. Enrolment is considered valid only after you have paid the first instalment of the fees for the 2024/2025 academic year by the application deadline.

You can start your Italian Erasmus mobility if:

  • you will remain enrolled full-time and for the entire academic year 2024/2025 in the programme for which you have applied or are applying;
  • by the departure date all your fees are regularly paid.

Note for undergraduates

you cannot graduate before the end of your mobility period, nor until the programme’s Academic advisor (docente referente) officially validates the activity you carried out at the host university.

Scholarship amounts and eligibility criteria

To encourage participation in the programme, scholarships funded by the Italian Erasmus Fund will be awarded. Selected students will receive up to 600 Euros per month, as detailed in the Call for Applications.

If you intend to apply for the grant, you must also have a 2024 ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) certification valid for subsidised benefits for the right to study in your favour amounting to less than 36,000.00 Euros, and with the Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica (Single Substitute Statement) dated by the deadline of the Call for applications. The University will autonomously acquire the data of the ISEE certification upon consent provided by the interested student when filling in the benefit request form.

The scholarship will be paid on your CartaConto in two instalments:

  • the first instalment will be paid to you by January 2025 and cannot surpass half of the amount for the entire duration of your planned mobility;
  • the second instalment will be paid at the end of the programme, within 30 days from the delivery of the Learning Agreement, provided you have achieved the minimum required number of CFU/ECTS or, if you were carrying our research for your thesis, after you submit a statement your thesis supervisor or tutor certifying that you have achieved the agreed research goals.

We invite you to read the Call carefully and to check all the regulations governing a scholarship’s revocation, forfeiture and compatibility criteria.

How to participate

You can apply by filling out the on line form from 15 July 2024 to 12 noon on 20 September 2024

Don’t forget that:

  • you can submit only one application. The deadline is 12.00 (noon) on 20 September 2024;
  • once you have submitted your application, it cannot be modified. Incomplete applications may lead to exclusion from the selection process.

The final ranking for each degree programme will be based on the merit requirements described in the Call. Ranking will be divided into two lists: one for students enrolled in the first year and one for students enrolled in the second year.

The outcome of your applications will be published on this webpage on 30 September 2024. You will not receive any personal communication, either in writing or by telephone.

If selected, you must email  carriere.studenti@unive.it between 1 and 30 October 2024 to inform them you accept the position

Learning agreement and credit recognition

If selected for the Italian Erasmus programme, you must complete a credit recognition proposal form by 30th November 2024. This form should include the length of the mobility (in months), the activities you plan to undertake during the exchange period, and how these activities fit into your study plan (Learning Agreement).

The form must be approved by both the teaching committee of your degree programme (via the contact professor indicated in the call for applications) and the host university.

At the end of your mobility, the host university will send us the documents relating to the completed training activities and the CFU/ECTS you have acquired. These will be added to your career as described in your credit recognition proposal form.

Please note that you cannot sit examinations at the host university outside the mobility period.
