1

Ca' Foscari offers excellence in both teaching and research. We are world-ranked in 16 different subject areas that range across the humanities, social sciences, and science and technology, so our professors are everything you expect them to be. You can learn all about our numerous English-taught bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as our Italian-taught study offer, on our international application platform.

2

We’re based in the heart of Venice, a UNESCO World Heritage city. With its student population and its year-round calendar of events, Venice offers a vibrant, cosmopolitan lifestyle. The Biennale brings the world to the lagoon for contemporary art and architecture exhibitions, and the stars of today’s cinema shine in the Venice Film Festival. Venice is also wonderfully central if you wish to explore the rest of Europe via plane or rail during your studies.

3

The high-quality education we offer as a public university is subsidised by the Italian government, which means that our degrees are genuinely affordable: the most you pay for a year of bachelor’s studies is about 2,300 euro, while for a year of master’s studies it is about 2,550. To make choosing Ca’ Foscari even more manageable, we offer financial aid for high-achieving international students that supports them from the beginning of their studies through to graduation.

4

We all know that today’s universities need to be global in spirit, character and ambition, so we are proud to be Italy’s top university for internationalisation. We teach more than 40 languages and facilitate cultural studies of all kinds, so our students are excited to meet you and learn about where you come from. We also encourage you to go out into the world by offering over 500 exchange agreements around the world (the students above are in Edinburgh!). Thanks to our many degrees English-taught degrees, we have a university community that includes students from over 75 countries. For honours students, our International College offers a particularly rewarding way to have a globally-minded university experience.

5

Although we are located in a city with over 1,600 years of history, we are a modern, forward-looking institution in every way. Our faculty and researchers are committed to impactful research that addresses the many global challenges facing us today, our policies make sustainability in all of its forms an institutional priority, and we are continuing to expand the cutting-edge science and technology campus we began just a few years ago. We are dedicated to the kind of innovative interdisciplinary teaching and learning that turns university students into global citizens who have the knowledge and the motivation to make their mark on the world.
