  • San Zaccaria (Lines 1, 2, 4.1, 4.2, 5.2, 7, 14, 15, 20)
  • Rialto (Lines 1, 1/, 2, 2/) 10 minutes on foot

Provisions for access

Graduates must enter the Square with a maximum of two guests who will be given a place to sit in the guest area.

The entrances will be open 50 minutes before the starting time. Access to the reserved area will be allowed up to 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

In order to avoid crowding and ensure that sufficient distance is maintained between graduates, admissions and exits will be staggered, and access and exit lanes will be duly marked.

Access will be granted only to those in possession of electronic ticket and identity document.
Said documents must be shown on admission.

The staff inside and outside the reserved area will ensure compliance with the regulations in force and the protocol adopted for the event.

The nearest public toilets, which can be used for a fee, are managed by the company Veritas and are located behind the Correr Museum.

Please note that the time spent in the Square, given the duration of the ceremony and the procedures for entering and exiting the area, will be approximately three hours. Please also note that the ceremony will take place outdoors and could thus be affected by weather conditions: therefore, we invite you to take the necessary precautions.

Who can attend

All Bachelor graduates from the 2023/2024 autumn graduation session are invited to attend.

Access will only be granted to the graduates and their guests (with a maximum two guests per graduate), provided that they have correctly completed the booking process.

Given the exceptional nature of the location in which the ceremony will be held, the area reserved for participants will be limited, and the number of seats will be restricted for reasons of safety and accessibility. Graduates must attend the ceremony accompanied

Reservation

Only graduates who have made a reservation may attend the ceremony.

The procedure will close at 12.00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, November 4th, 2024.

Should you be unable to attend, please contact  giornolaurea@unive.it as soon as possible.

Ca' Foscari University Venice has activated an agreement with Vision SnC for photo shoots at the graduation ceremony taking place in St. Mark's Square.
Graduates can make individual arrangements with the photographers directly in Saint Mark’s Square ,or book the service in advance through the relevant procedure [ITA].

The event is organised thanks to the availability and support of the Municipality of Venice, Vela Spa and Veritas. Special thanks to the Superintendence of Architectural Heritage and Landscape of Venice and its Lagoon.

Recommendations

The ceremony in the Square must take place in accordance with the specific rules and conditions set out above and subscribed to by each graduate for the protection of all. Each graduate is thus requested to follow the instructions received as well as what will be communicated during the ceremony, thereby refraining from any celebrations in the Square or in the streets of the city. Throwing confetti is prohibited.

Please note that the following is also forbidden:

  • Bringing in suitcases, trolleys, bags and bulky backpacks that could obstruct the access and exit routes
  • Bringing in aerosol cans, stadium horns and smoke bombs
  • Bringing in drinks in glass bottles or eating food
  • Bringing in pets of any kind or size
  • Smoking
