Associate professor of US literature and culture. He earned his PhD from Ca' Foscari University of Venice in 2008 and studied at the University of Birmingham (UK), Harvard University (USA) and Freie Universitaet Berlin (D).

His main area of research is late 19th- and early 20th-century American literature, and in particular the work of Henry James on which he published the book Collecting and Appreciating: Henry James and the Transformation of Aesthetics in the Age of Consumption, Oxford: Peter Lang, 2010). He has co-edited (with Rosella Mamoli Zorzi) the volume The Aspern Papers and Other Tales in the series The Complete Fiction of Henry James (Cambridge University Press, 2022). He is the editor of LINEA classici, a series of interational classics with parallel original text (Padua: LINEA Edizioni).

He is a member of AISNA (Associazione Italiana di Studi Nord-Americani), EAAS (European Association of American Studies), IASA (International American Studies Association), The Henry James Society, ISTW (International Society For Travel Writing), ENAS (European Network in Aging Studies).

He was appointed Secretary of AISNA for 2017-2019 and sat on the AISNA board in 2020-2022.

He is the Coordinator of the Teaching committee of LLEAP - Master's Degree in European, American and Post-colonial Languages (2019-).
