Fabrizio Romano - Degree in Computer Science (105/110, 2001) Ca' Foscari University of Venice - is a computer technician at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Statistics (DAIS) - Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Hired in 2001, he holds the following positions at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Statistics:

  • Installation, management, maintenance of the teaching laboratories of the computer science department (80 dual boot Windows/Linux PCs).
  • Installation, management, maintenance of the computer science department servers.
  • Computer support service for students, teachers, administrative staff.
  • Installation of personal PCs (desktops and laptops) of the computer science department teachers.
  • Management of the email flow (antispam, antivirus) and DNS servers.
  • Management of the firewall (iptables, mignis).
  • Management of the backup system: uranium backup, rsync.
  • Development of php+mysql applications.

From 2006 to 2009 he worked as a system administrator with an occasional service contract at QUICKFLY S.r.l with the following tasks:

  • Installation, management, configuration of physical servers with Vmware Server/ Esxi.

  • Installation, management, configuration of virtual servers: LAMP server, mail server (postfix), Windows 2003 server for .NET sites.
  • Implementation of hp/mysql interface for managing users, domains and email aliases.
  • From 2017 to today he has been a teacher of the System Administration Laboratory course at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Statistics (DAIS).
