Luisa Tasca studied history at the University of Venice. In 2002 she obtained her PhD in History and Civilisation at the European University Institute, Florence. From 2016 to 2020 she taught at the University of Florence, and from 2021 to 2024 in the University of Bolzano/Bozen. She was visiting professor at the EHESS in Paris, and has been awarded fellowships at, among others, the Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften (Vienna) and the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (Trento). Her main interests are in social and cultural history, with a focus on educational models, autobiographical writing, the scientific study of childhood, and the teaching of history. Her major publications are:
