EDUCATION

2018 – 2021 Industrial PhD performed at "Philochem AG", Zurich (CH) in Biomolecular Sciences (UniTN)
2015 – 2017 Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology, University of Trento
2012 – 2015 Bachelor degree in Biomolecular Sciences and Technology, University of Trento
2008 – 2012 Scientific High School Girolamo Fracastoro, Verona

EXPERIENCES

  • 2022 - Ongoing : Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of Trento (CiBIO). Prof. Guido Grandi. Laboratory of Synthetic and Structural Vaccinology.

The research interest is in exploiting Escherichia coli Outer Membrane Vesicles (OMVs) for vaccines and anti-cancer immunotherapy development.

  • 2018 – 2021: Industrial PhD in Philochem AG, Zurich (CH). Prof. Dario Neri.

Philochem AG is a biopharmaceutical company with the object of developing innovative products for the treatment of angiogenesis-related disorders. The aim of the PhD was to design, generate, characterize, and validate novel cytokine-antibody fusion proteins (Immunocytokines) relevant for the field of oncology and inflammation.

  • 2017: Master’s internship, University of Trento (CiBIO), Laboratory of Synthetic and Structural Vaccinology. Prof. Guido Grandi.

Development of a new vaccine platform exploiting the natural production of Outer Membrane Vesicles (OMVs) from E. coli.

  • 2015: Bachelor’s internship, member of the UniTN iGEM 2015 team.

iGEM (international Genetically Engineered Machine) is an international competition of synthetic biology taking place every year at MIT, Boston. The project focused on the engineering of E. coli bacteria in order to improve the energy production efficiency of a microbial fuel cell (MFC) platform exploiting the power of the sun.
