Francesca Dal Mas has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Udine, Italy, a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Bologna, Italy, and a PhD in Managerial and Actuarial sciences from the Universities of Udine and Trieste, Italy.
Prior to joining Ca’ Foscari, she was a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Enterprise at the Department of Management, Lincoln International Business School, University of Lincoln, United Kingdom.


She was a visiting research fellow and a guest lecturer at the University of Pavia, Italy, the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, the Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, Japan, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, the IHU – Institute for Image-Guided Surgery in Strasbourg, France, the Sharif University of Technology of Tehran, Iran, among others. She is a member of Ipazia, the international observatory on gender research, and of the Sustainability Lab of Ca' Foscari.


Her research interests include healthcare management, intellectual capital, knowledge management, sustainability, digital transformation, and new business models. She holds national accreditation as an associate professor in accounting (Secs-P07) and organization science (Secs-P10).


Her articles were published in journals like Technovation, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Accounting Auditing and Accountability Journal, Business Strategy and the Environment, Studies in Higher Education, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Management Decision, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Knowledge Management Research and Practice, British Food Journal, and Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, among others.


Francesca works closely with clinicians and medical scholars from various universities and institutions, including Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital, USA, the University of Yale, USA, the University of Chicago, USA, the University of Florida, USA, the University of Pavia, Italy, the IHU – Institute for Image-Guided Surgery and IRCAD, France.


As of January 1st, 2024, she is part of the clinical research team of the University of Social Sciences (Społeczna Akademia Nauk), Lodz, Poland, with the title of Associate Professor - Research Function in Medicine. She collaborates with medical scientific societies like the World Society of Emergency Surgery and the E-AHPBA. Her healthcare management topics include knowledge translation, co-production and shared decision-making, team dynamics, non-technical skills, clinical decision-making, technology acceptance, sustainability, and ethics in the clinical use of new technologies.


Her research in the medical field appeared in highly-ranked clinical journals like Annals of Surgery, Journal of the American College of Surgeons, ESMO Open, World Journal of Emergency Surgery, Frontiers in Medicine, Journal of Clinical Medicine, La Radiologia Medica, Antibiotics, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, Biomedicines, Nurse Education Today, Journal of Medical Systems, The American Journal of Surgery, and Frontiers in Psychology, to name a few, and she is regularly invited as a keynote speaker at clinical congresses and corporate events.


She managed several special issues in various journals, including Technovation, Frontiers in Oncology, and Frontiers in Surgery, among others.
