Andrea Bertaiola earned his B.A. in Cultural Heritage, his M.A. in Archaeology, and his Diploma of Specialisation in Archaeological Heritage from the University of Milan. He then moved to Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, where he obtained his PhD in Ancient Heritage Studies. He is currently a research fellow at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Department of Humanities, as part of the SPIN project Ancient Landscapes: Mapping the Historical Dynamics of Ancient Sicily (PI: Stefania De Vido). He is a senior member of the international archaeological mission held by Institute of Fine Arts of the New York University and the University of Milan on the Acropolis of Selinunte (director: Clemente Marconi). Since 2025, he has also been part of the Ein neues Modell für die Stadt Selinunt project (PI: Melanie Jonasch).
