PhD candidate in modern history at the Department of Historical, Geographical and Anthropological Studies (DiSSGeA) of the University of Padua, affiliated with the Venice Center for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH).

I am currently working on my research project, entitled "Captive Voices: graffiti of the Inquisition", analyzing the extemporaneous writings still visible inside some inquisitorial prisons in use between the 16th and 18th centuries. My work also involves digitizing these writings through Cadmus, a system developed by Daniele Fusi.

My current areas of specialization are the history of the Spanish and Roman inquisition, prison history, and the social history of writing, and I tend to focus particularly on the history of subalternity and women. For this reason I have organized several seminars on gender issues, inviting and moderating meetings with Veronica Gago and Havin Güneser. In 2021 I collaborated with the Goethe Institut for the Architecture Biennale and gave a key lecture as part of the series The art of assembly together with Antonio Negri.
