I am an applied economist of sustainable technological change.

I am a Marie-Sklodowska Curie Fellow at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockhol, Sweden. I apply artificial intelligence (mostly generative AI) and machine learning to climate policy and sustainable development. My Marie Curie project, LIBRA, aims at computing the sustainability trade-offs of AI investments quantifying the environmental costs and the sustainability benefits of each dollar invested in AI systems.

At the moment, I am keen at exploring the challenges of the twin transition, focusing on issues spanning economic geography and financial markets with particular emphasis on inequality considerations.

Over the past years, I nurtured a vast experience in climate finance with peer-review publications and dissemination activities around access to capital and barriers to deployment of low-carbon technologies. I am an affiliated research at Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) and a honorary research fellow at University College London (UCL).
