Contribution of the course to the overall degree programme goals
A specific focus will be devoted to the implementation of ESG factors in personnel management processes, including recruitment, with particular emphasis on social/environmental certification tools and the practices adopted by the most innovative companies in order to promote sustainable and inclusive models oriented towards the valorisation of human capital. A further focus will be on the transparency-diligence binomial in the light of the new regulatory frameworks introduced at national and supranational level (sustainability reporting, due diligence, taxonomy), with the aim of delving into the feasibility and criticality of these instruments of accountability and traceability of the supply chain and their impact in promoting sustainable value chains.
Expected learning outcomes
1.1 Know the dynamics operating within global value chains and their impact on workers' rights.
1.2 To know the structure and operating rules of the labour market on a global scale, the labour law institutions that apply in the international context, regulatory actors and instruments of regulation
1.3 To interpret the evolution of labour legislation and its constituent sources with a focus on domestic legislation related to the implementation of sustainable corporate governance (due diligence, ESG, reporting)
2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
2.1 To be able to identify the rules applicable to labour relations and the responsibilities of companies in the event of violation of workers' rights
2.2 Know how to identify and then relate the multilevel regulatory sources insisting on international labour law.
2.3 Apply normative and jurisprudential data within the context of reference, highlighting the purpose and criticality of regulatory sources.

Assessment methods
The students have to know the topics discussed during the lessons using a correct language and a systematic view.
The verification of learning takes place through an oral examination. Students must demonstrate knowledge of the topics covered in the course using correct language and demonstrating the ability to link topics and personal development.
In particular:
The oral test consists of 3 open questions. Each question will be given a mark from 0 to 30. Passing the examination requires a minimum score of 18 in at least two out of three questions.
Concerning the grading (how the marks will be awarded):
Scores in the 18-22 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- sufficient knowledge and understanding applied with reference to the syllabus;
- limited ability to collect and/or interpret data, making independent judgements;
- sufficient communication skills, especially in relation to the use of specific language relating to the subject of the teaching
Scores in band 23-26 will be awarded in the presence of:
- discrete knowledge and applied understanding with reference to the syllabus;
- discrete ability to collect and/or interpret data, making autonomous judgements;
- fair communication skills, especially in relation to the use of specific language relating to the subject of the teaching.
Scores in the 27-30 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- good or very good knowledge and ability of applied understanding with reference to the syllabus;
- good or very good ability to collect and/or interpret texts by making autonomous judgements;
- fully appropriate communication skills, especially in relation to the use of the specific language relating to the subject of the course.
Honours will be awarded where knowledge and ability, applied understanding with reference to the syllabus, judgement and communication skills are excellent.
The students have the possibility to organize a Working group and the result will be evaluate. The students have to do an oral presentation at the end of the course and a written paper. The team work/individual work will be evaluated on the basis of three parameters: originality of the theme; completeness; coherence with the topics of the course. The grade will be min 0 max 4 points.

C. marks in the 27-30 bracket will be awarded in the presence of:
- good or very good knowledge and ability of applied understanding with reference to the syllabus;
- good or very good ability to collect and/or interpret data, making autonomous judgements;
- fully appropriate communication skills, especially in relation to the use of specific language relating to labour law.
D. Honours will be awarded in the presence of knowledge and ability of applied understanding with reference to the syllabus, excellent judgement and communication skills.
