The goal of the course is to introduce students to a deeper understanding of AI, its basic architectures, some current utilizations. The course aims to provide the foundations that can also be used in subsequent courses of the International Management program and in the students' thesis work.
While the course will be heavily hands-on (using freely available tools), with students producing examples at almost every lecture, its aim is to go beyond superficial understanding of AI and to enable students to better understand where does AI come from, its current dominant architectures and the social and ethical issues associated to its diffusion.
The course aims to develop the skills that students can use in various innovative professional fields where knowledge and the ability to use Artificial Intelligence tools are required.

1. Knowledge and Understanding: Students are expected to acquire knowledge of the fundamental concepts underlying the development of Artificial Intelligence, the ability to understand its functioning and applications, and to comprehend its impact on businesses and society.
2. Applied Knowledge and Understanding: Students will develop the ability to apply basic concepts to specific activities and analytical models, and they will improve their ability to use generative AI tools.
3. Judgment Skills: Students will learn to critically evaluate contemporary developments in AI and will develop individual and group-based examples and applications.
4. Communication Skills: Students will learn to communicate in groups through teamwork opportunities and by presenting their work in class. They will also develop better human-computer communication skills.
5. Learning Ability: The course will enhance students' ability to learn through the use of interactive tools.
The course requires basic skills in using a PC and knowledge of the core concepts of the management field.
What is Artificial Intelligence?
