"New technologies and labour rights" is the only characterising course in the legal area for international management master's degree.
The course is aimed at proactively learning how to know, comprehend, apply and critically evaluate the traditional or innovative regulatory techniques and disciplines at national, European, and/or international levels that impact HR management. At the same time, the course pays attention to how the new digital and algorithmic technologies impact personnel organisation and labour regulations.
During the course the students are able to develop their skills to design, communicate and implement legal compliance (and corporate social responsibility) decisions, policies and strategies at the company level, particularly regarding workers' welfare and dignity in a digitalised/algorithmic scenario. Specific attention is paid to the ability to communicate internally and outside the contents of regulations and firm policies.
The course enables students to:
1. acquire knowledge of normative techniques and main national/EU international regulations concerning labour and trade unions relations;
2. acquire and use correct and effective language;
3. apply the acquired knowledge to face and resolve specific problems within small and big companies;
4. be able to assess your own set of rights and obligations as a worker as well as be able to assess both the opportunities offered and the limits imposed by the law in the HR management as a manager and employer;
