The Workshops, together with formative and orientation Internships, concur to provide the students with helpful knowledge to access the job market.
They are based on participatory and interactive teaching, aiming at strengthening the students' transferable skills: for this reason, attendance is strongly recommended and the ideal number of participants is no more than 20-25 people. Students must contact the professors by writing to vciciliot@unive.it to register his/her attendance before the beginning of the Workshop.
The Workshops don’t have a final exam but the achievement of a qualification ('idoneità', corresponding to 3 credits) which will be granted at the end of the course on the basis of the activity carried out by the students. The students who have attended the course but haven't obtained the qualification can, under exceptional circumstances, obtain it in subsequent exam sessions by making a request to the professor, who will decide on a case-by-case basis.
The goals of the Workshop are:
- to gain confidence with the structure of the argumentative text;
- to become familiar with the different historical writing practices and styles;
- to improve writing skills in order to apply them to various working contexts.
Knowledge of Italian language.
The Workshop will provide the students with some insights into the dissertation and will be focused on the analysis of the following kinds of writing:
- the research paper (including notes and bibliography);
- the covering letter;
- the book review;
- the abstract;
- the project proposal;
- the slide presentation.

There are no referral texts. Some readings will be made available on Moodle.

The Workshop doesn’t have a final exam but the achievement of a qualification (‘idoneità’).
Attendance, participation, and results will be constantly monitored.
The achievement of the 3 credits is conditioned to the completion of all tasks and assignments.
Active participation to all the phases of the Workshop is required.
written and oral
No grade is assigned for this Workshop.

2. They must include the Workshop in the study plan (please contact the professor if this is not possible);
3. At any rate, they must register for the exam at the end of the course so that the qualification can be registered.
