The course provides an in-depth understanding of environmental economics and climate change, focusing on issues related to energy use and production for climate change adaptation. The course will cover the following aspects: 1) how energy can enable adaptation to climate change; 2) how energy systems can adapt to climate change; 3) what methods are applied to study the energy system from the perspective of adaptation. The course contributes to the objectives of the PhD and Master's program in Science and Management of Climate Change.
Students learn how to interpret and analyze the socio-economic aspects that connect the energy system to climate change. The lab will enable students to become familiar with various methods used to study the topics under examination, through the presentation of examples and practical applications during the course hours.

- Resilience of power generation and infrastructure.
- Adaptation needs in the context of the broader energy transition.

Oral exam. Group presentation and display of material and assignments developed in class during the lab.






Lectures, in-class activities (use of software, presentations, discussions). These activities will allow students to learn how to use certain analytical tools and apply them to the analysis of climate policies. The presentations will help students improve their communication skills.
