The course allows students to deepen social research issues by examining mainly quantitative qualitative approaches and techniques, with a particular focus on evaluation methods.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to design a questionnaire for the data collection and to carry out simple statistical analysis to interpret the collected data useful to prepare a report.
No previous courses are given as a prerequisite. A minimum of knowledge of the area of interest and a strong motivation are essential to achieving the teaching objectives.
Part I: Design of the statistical survey in the social sciences:
- contents and stages of the statistical survey
- sampling techniques: target population and sample
- interview techniques and questionnaire

The examination will consist of the presentation and discussion of practical research work (by groups). The work can be done in groups or individually and will be discussed in presence.
