The World Philosophies course is part of a broader Master's programme dedicated to World Cultural Heritage.
Within an international cultural context such as that of the International College of Ca' Foscari, where the humanities, politics and international relations are studied in depth, the World Philosophies seminar aims to introduce students to systems of knowledge that underpin the cultural, social and political life of leading countries in the global scenario.
The course will therefore provide an introductory overview of some of the main traditions of non-European thought.

By the end of the course, the student will have acquired a general knowledge of the main traditions of thought, will have a basic philosophical lexicon, and will be able to expound and argue on the topics covered in class.
