The course is one of the related courses for the Global Asian Studies minor and will focus on social research methodologies from an interdisciplinary perspective.
1. Understanding of the fundamentals of Anthropology and Sociology
2. Ability to apply the primary methodologies and tools of social research
3. Understanding of some socio-cultural aspects of East Asian societies covered in the course
4. Demonstrating critical and reasoned communication of learned concepts in both written and oral forms
Intermediate Level of English (B2)
The course is designed as a laboratory to complement the three-year training program. It aims to build on the fundamental knowledge acquired by students in the various subjects in the minor of Global Asian Studies from an interdisciplinary perspective. The course will cover the foundations of social sciences and key analytical and methodological tools. It will also include group discussions and individual research on topics related to East Asia's socio-cultural and political realities in a transnational and transcultural sense.

Written and oral:
1. Preparation of a series of comprehension worksheets of passages taken from articles, monographs, and collections of essays focused on anthropological themes.
2. Presentation on PPT or CANVA of a scientific article selected by the teacher.
3. Drafting of a research project on a topic chosen by the student, to be agreed with the teacher.

Lectures, workshops, and discussion groups will be supplemented with audio-visual materials. Additionally, the Laboratory will feature presentations by teachers and guest researchers, offering insights into research methods and topics.

This subject deals with topics related to the macro-area "Human capital, health, education" and contributes to the achievement of one or more goals of U. N. Agenda for Sustainable Development
