The course 'Storia Medievale' is part of the core educational activities of the Bachelor's degree programme in History.
In the academic year 2021-2022 there will only one Medieval History course. Non couse will be held in the second semester.
By the end of the course, student should have developed a good knowledge of the medieval centuries in their social, economic and political aspect, together with the major sources for their study and the most relevant historiographical questions.
No one in particular is required.
The transformation of the ancient word between the end of the Roman Empire and the rise of Modern Age.
Persistence and change will prinicipally analyze in Europe, but attention will be also dedicate to North Africa and Near East. Together with social, economich and military aspect, single gappenings, characters and literary as well as artistic works will be scrutinized in detail.

The knowledge acquired will be through a written exam with four open questions. Three of these will need to be answered.
The course will be held over 60 hours (12 ECTS) and classes will be focused on archival sources and historical researches in order to learn how to analyse critically history processes and to frame hypotheses and interpretation of facts as proposed by chosen topics.
In the academic year 2021-2022 there will only one Medieval History course. Non couse will be held in the second semester.

The course Medieval History is intended exclusively for students who take the 12 CFU exam and consists of two parts that cannot be separated from each other.
