At the end of the course students are expected to take both a written and an oral exam aimed at testing if students have achieved the expected outcomes.

2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
Being able to recognise and analyse specialised and semi-specialised texts related to Spanish language;
Being able to use the acquired knowledge to translate specialised and semi-specialised texts from and into Spanish;
To be able to apply the appropriate techniques and strategies in order to make suitable translation choices;
To be able to communicate and express oneself in Spanish in communicative and formal situations at B2/C1 level of the CEFR;
Understand and produce specialised and semi-specialised texts in Spanish at B2/C1 CEFR level.
3. Autonomy of judgement
Being able to carry out the analysis of specialised and semi-specialised texts related to Spanish language;
To be able to motivate one's own translation choices in relation to specialised and semi-specialised texts related to Spanish language;
Be able to implement communicative strategies at B2/C1 CEFR level.
4. Communicative skills
Ability to recognise and explain contrastive aspects of languages for specific purposes related to Spanish language;
Ability to use the metalanguage of Linguistics and Translation Studies to describe the phenomena of the Spanish language;
Ability to interact in communicative and formal situations at B2/C1 CEFR level;
Ability to deal with linguistic mediation and translation.
5. Learning ability
Undertake the study of teaching material with an average degree of autonomy;
Ability to self-assess their acquisition of linguistic and translation contents and their competence in Spanish;
Ability to apply the knowledge acquired to undertake the study of the course on translation technologies.

Assessment methods
- a written test with linguistic items and a test of translation between Spanish and Italian in relation to the types of texts dealt with during the course, accompanied by a brief commentary in which the translation choices as well as the techniques and strategies adopted are justified. The duration of the written test will be 90 minutes.
- an oral test on the theoretical contents developed during the course lasting approximately 15 minutes.
The minimum mark for passing the written test is set at 18/30. The final mark is calculated by averaging the mark obtained in the written test and the assessment of the oral test.
