Introduction to Politics is a course included in the PISE's "Attività formative di base" (basic activities).

USING THE MOODLE PLATFORM IS MANDATORY
Knowledge and understanding
By the end of the course students will:
- Know the basic concepts of political science
- Understand the functioning of a political system

Applying knowledge and understanding
By the end of the course students will:
- be able to identify patterns of political behaviour
- analyze case studies drawn from various political systems
- have developed basic skills in comparing different political systems according to the kind of government, state, electoral system, political behavior, political participation, welfare state

Making judgments
Students will be able to making critical analysis of the quality of a democratic system and of the expected outcomes of an electoral system in specific political contexts.

Communication skills
By the end of the course students will have improved their English communication skills through the classroom presentations undertaken on a voluntary basis and through class discussions.
Basic analytical skills, ability to access an online teaching platform.
