The course is structured as a specialised analysis of themes and problems in the philosophy of language discussed in contemporary debate, with a focus on the areas of investigation in the philosophy of literature and perception. It identifies objects and properties of the different languages of the arts in order to study categories and concepts of logical-linguistic analysis.
Learning outcomes

The students, on successful completion of this module, will be able to:
1. critically engage with philosophical arguments, criticizing and organizing arguments
2. apply philosophical concepts to artistic issues
3. distinguish dimensions relevant to their own specialties

The course is intended for students in the Philosophical Sciences degree programme whose curriculum includes 12 cfu of Philosophy of Language.

Method of instruction: the main teaching methods of the course are the lecture and the lecture-discussion. Every student will be encouraged to participate in the discussion of the materials planning individual or small group seminars, in which new texts will be presented and discussed in relation to the course readings.

- For those who choose not to attend the course, an interview with the lecturer is recommended at the beginning of the course and no later than one month before the chosen exam callnive.it
