The course of Philosophy of Knowledge, of theoretical field, deals with issues related to the elaboration and criticism of the foundation of knowledge, in relation to the themes evoked by classical thought and to the outcomes of modern and contemporary philosophical reflection. The course privileges the analytic work on texts, "the strenuous effort of the Concept" and the exhibition of the speculative terms devised by the thinkers who have measured themselves with the theme of knowledge
Detailed and critical knowledge of the issues and fundamental problems of philosophy of knowledge in relation to the nodal points of the Western philosophical tradition and its developments in the contemporary debate in the larger context of the crisis of the foundations in the philosophical thought of the twentieth century

Depth knowledge of the argumentative and methodological strategies regarding the theoretical size of philosophical experience

Ability to read and interpret a philosophical text, focusing on the theoretical approach

Ability to analyze, understand and argue the reasons underlying the philosophical issues in view of a theoretical reworking, also in relation to the consequences of a practical nature
Depht knowledge of the history of philosophy, with particular regard to metaphysical themes

For the examination, the student will have to demonstrate to:
1) know how to contextualize the themes of the course from the historical-philosophical point of view;
2) know the terminology, the fundamental concepts and the theoretical references of the texts explored by the course
3) being able to analytically reconstruct the trend of the analyzed texts, highlighting points/steps nodal and argument ways
4) grasp the outcomes of this specific approach to theme.
