The teaching course aims to provide the students the knowledge and the expertise in relation to the Italian Law about the Safety in the workplaces as referred in the Unique Text 81/2008 concerning to the safety and health in workplaces. The teaching course provides behavioral notions of fundamental importance to carry out working activities and provides the students the critical ability to face up properly to possible emergency situations that may occur in workplaces, especially during laboratory activities for didactics foreseen in the CdS.
Knowledge and Comprehension
Knowledge of the Italian Law reported in the TU 81/2008
Knowledge of the behavioral good practices to follow in the labs and workplaces
Ability to apply knowledge and comprehension
Ability to properly follow the provisions of the safety and health regulation in the workplaces
Ability to evaluate correctly an emergency situation
Prerequisites are not required
Regulation about Safety in the Workplace; protection and prevention. Physical risks, personal protective equipment. Chemical risk. Fire, protection and fire extinguishers, emergency management. Explosion and contamination. BIological risk. Case of study – accidents in labs
Didactic material provided by the professor
Written or online test with multiple-choice questions.
Compulsory conditions for admission to the written test are:
1) attendance to at least 14 out of 16 hours of lessons;
2) having completed the General On-line Training Course and passed the relevant test.
The written test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions covering the entire program, aimed at ascertaining knowledge and the ability to interpret safety issues. The written test is considered successful if at least 14 answers are correct.
Failure to pass the written test will result in compulsory attendance of a new course SAFETY AND HEALTH IN EDUCATIONAL AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES.
The teaching course is proposed with lectures.
The courses are structured with a maximum number of 35 students, who are selected by the secretariat of the Scientific Campus and communicated via the University's official e-mail (numeromatricola@stud.unive.it).
Attendance is compulsory: missing more than two hours of lessons means that the whole course is canceled.
It is not possible to access the teaching workshops without a certificate of attendance and passing this course.
