The course of Political and Economic Geography (Minor in Global Asian Studies) provides geographical tools and historical-political-cultural contents which are fundamental to analyze the territorial processes that affect Asia, not only as a geographical space, but also as an actor in the current global dynamics.
Asian Countries have relations within the countinent as well as with other world Countries: their politics, economics and societies are deeply and globally interconnected.
The student is able to interpret the localization of economic activities and political actions, on both a local and global scale, in a cause-effect relationship with the geography of the territories, with particular regard to globalization, the emergence of new productive realities, the North-South imbalances, the impact of environmental problems as well as the sustainable development strategies.
General knowledge of the global space and of the current global processes; ability to search for the main global phenomena.

- Final oral exam on both scheduled lessons
