SOCIAL HISTORY

The course is among the Core Educational Activities of the Bachelor's degree course in History and among the Basic Activities of the Bachelor's degree course in Sciences of Society and Social Service. The aim of the course is the knowledge of social history methodologies.

Knowledge and understanding:
- know the methodologies, some case studies and some types of sources for social history;
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding:
- know how to use some methodologies of social history
- knowing how to orientate in the considered historical period
- knowing how to interpret and critically analyze some types of sources
Judgment skills:
- know how to apply a critical and informed approach to the reconstructions of the past and to the analysis of documents
Communication skills:
- know how to interact with the teacher and peers in a critical and respectful way
- know how to write a short text using appropriate terminology

Knowledge of the Italian language.
Knowledge of the general frameworks of modern and contemporary history acquired in the high school.

Written examination with short-answer questions on the topics covered in the lecture and the bibliography indicated. Attending students will carry out some activities and writing tests in itinere.
