THAI LANGUAGE 3

Mandatory course of the B.A. program in Languages, Cultures and Societies of Asia and North Africa with Southeast Asia.

Knowledge and comprehension
Complete knowledge of basic grammar structures of Thai language, Level B1
Knowledge and understanding of grammar structures of B1 level, text reading, grammatical analysis and translation.
Ability to use grammar structures, tones and reading/writing
Identify different basic grammar structures
Define different grammar structures and constructions, syllables structure and tone and grammar phenomena studied during the course, on the basis of the syntactical analysis ability acquired during the course
B1 level of CEFR: He/she can understand sentences and frequently-used expressions related to the areas of experience most immediately relevant to him/her (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, places of interest, employment, etc.).Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters
regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Having successfully completed the course THAI 2. (LT7080)

Every week, students will be introduced to new grammatical elements, writing, reading, syntax up to B1 level with written texts, videos or other material proposed by the teacher.

Written test with open questions and multiple answer questions or translation of a text. It will also include a reading aloud and translation of a text given by teacher during the oral exam.
