The course is aimed at students of the following course: [CT9] HOSPITALITY INNOVATION AND E-TOURISM. Other Erasmus graduates and students may participate in the course and exam tests if they wish to enrol. In this case, they will have to follow the same rules of the Degree Hospitality and Informatics and obtain the B1 level to participate in the examination of the main course.

It consists of a six-monthly module whose objective is to consolidate the metalinguistic competence of the French language, in particular with regard to the spoken language, and linguistic exercises closely integrated and coordinated by the teacher. The overall objective of teaching is to achieve language competence at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
1. Knowledge and understanding. In-depth study of phonetic, morphological, syntactic, lexical and pragmatic aspects at A2/B1 level, sensitisation to linguistic registers with particular regard to oral
2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding. The metalinguistic competence developed in the module allows for an improvement of the conscious learning of language competence.
The student will have to understand the essential (taking into account cultural aspects) of written texts, speeches and authentic interactions (radio, video, television broadcasts) and produce texts adapted to situations of use in writing and speaking. Must be able to read orally and speak without hesitation.
3. Autonomy of judgment. The student must be able to analyze, interpret and synthesize texts in a foreign language in a personal way, being able to highlight the aspects that he considers most important.
4. Communication skills. For the B1 level of the Common European Framework for Languages on 4 skills, the student must be able to produce simple and consistent texts on topics that are familiar to him or are of interest to him. He is able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, ambitions, to briefly explain reasons and give explanations about opinions and projects.
5. Learning ability. The student must have skills to manage his or her learning: be able to understand the main elements of current topics or subjects of personal or professional interest.
Level A2 of the Common Reference Framework.
France and its territories, the French-speaking world, French society, institutions and politics, economy, environment, education, tourism and tourist communication, history, art and literature.

The oral examination is entirely in French and consists of:
- presentation on cultural theme
- Knowledge of the subjects discussed during the course.
