INDUSTRIAL ECONOMICS AND POLICY MOD. 2

The course is complementary to the other course of the degree: it provides the student with the basic knowledge of industrial economics and policy. In particular, the course will focus on the different types of firms, industrial policy, the theoretical debate and the national and international practices. Particular attention will be given to the objectives, targets and instruments of industrial policy. Furthermore, a specific focus will be offered on the sustainability of the structural changes of economies and on the role of industrial policy in this sense.

- students will be able to exercise their ability to present and discuss scientific works - theoretical or applied - on the topics discussed in class by participating to the laboratories

Attending students: Written exam (40 percent of the final grade) and workshops (60 percent of the final grade)

The course is offered in blended mode with some content provided online. The course includes lectures and workshops with presentation and discussion of study materials/case studies (workshops only for attending students). All information on how the course works will be provided during the first lesson.
