In line with the guidelines of the three-year degree course in foreign trade and tourism, the Spanish language course aims to improve general linguistic-communicative competence and to introduce the economic-commercial micro-language, providing specific language training in business relations with the Hispanic world through an in-depth study of thematic areas relating to foreign trade.
1. Knowledge and understanding:
Good knowledge of business vocabulary
Good knowledge of frequently used grammatical structures
Being able to recognise the peculiarities of business-related writings

2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
To be able to correctly use Spanish economic-commercial terminology in all processes of application and communication of the acquired knowledge.
To know how to apply linguistic metacompetence to the acquisition of foreign language and the use of business Spanish.

3. Judgement skills
To be able to adopt a critical and reflective approach to the contents addressed

4. Communication skills
Knowing how to use the appropriate specialist terminology
Know how to interact using the linguistic formulas addressed

5. Learning skills
Being able to take notes and share them collaboratively on the online platform.
Being able to critically consult reference texts and the bibliography contained therein.

To follow this course, it is advisable to attend the tutorials that will be organised in September, before the official course begins.
1. During the course, the fundamental grammatical topics of the Spanish language will be explored.
2. Microlanguage specific to the business sector
3. Conversation, translation, business writing and the use of vocabulary and phraseology to deal with the main situations in foreign trade.

At the end of the course students will take a written test.
The structure of the written test is specified below:
- Multiple-choice questions on general grammatical aspects and economic/commercial micro-language;
- Structured TRUE/FALSE questions on general grammatical aspects and economic/commercial micro-language;
- Translation (Spanish-Italian/Italian-Spanish) of short text portions to demonstrate mastery of the economic/commercial micro-language;

The written test will last 60 minutes and the use of books, dictionaries, notes and electronic media will not be permitted during the test.
The test will be considered passed if a mark of 18/30 is achieved.
The lectures will be seminar-based, dialogue-based with direct interaction with the students in order to initiate informed reflection on the content covered.
