Assessment methods
The acquisition of the expected learning outcomes will be assessed in the following ways.
At the end of the first semester there will be an intermediate test (Japanese language 2.1) carried out on the computer consisting of:
1. writing test
2. grammar test
The test does not give a numerical mark, but only a judgment of "suitability", necessary to take the test of the second semester.
At the end of the second semester, a final exam (Japanese 2.2) will take place consisting of:
1. a written test of kanji (15 questions for writing and 15 for reading) and grammar (18 entries of correct grammatical forms; 8 multiple choice questions; 2 sentences of Italian-Japanese translation) without the aid of the dictionary - 35 min
2. a written Japanese-Italian translation with the help of the dictionary - 90 min
3. an oral test of: reading comprehension, questions in Italian on the grammar examined during the course, conversation and role play
The final mark will be determined by the average of the marks out of 30 obtained in each of the three tests.
The 18 credits associated with teaching will be obtained after passing the intermediate test and the final exam.
The qualification obtained in part I (intermediate) will be valid until the passing of part II (final) by and no later than the first exam in January of the following year.
In case of failure to pass part II at the first session of January, the student will have to resume the exam of the first part and can do so from the second session of January.
