The course aims to deal with the issues related to the conservation and protection of the intangible cultural heritage, following the events of the history of the performing arts in the widest possible meaning. The nature of the performing arts requires specific knowledges and skills for the study of materials and archive documents.
The object of analysis is represented by methods, examples, historic contexts and traditions, territories and spaces, perspectives and problems, technical solutions, contingencies and events which linked theatres, archives, libraries, study centers, theatre companies, collectors and artists involved in the realization of a show and afterward in the collection of documents and creation of exhibitions or museums dedicated to the performing arts.
Lo studente dovrà aver maturato conoscenze delle caratteristiche dei beni culturali immateriali e del settore culturale ad essi collegato; saper individuare le specificità delle aziende e dei consumi culturali
avere nozioni di base relativamente alle industrie creative e alla capcità di autofinanzamemnto.
Abilità e competenze
Lo studente dovrà essere in grado di poter analizzare casi esistenti e progetti; sapere operare per obiettivi e per progetti; conoscere come documentare opportunamente una produzione teatrale
attraverso l'individuazione, la selezione e la gestione di documentazioni materiali e fonti di informazione; saper comunicare con linguaggi appropriati.
No prerequisite is required.
The approach to the methodological study is complex. During the course, after an introduction on the general concepts and terminology, different readings of the objects taken into consideration will be offered giving instruments for analysis and international examples along with critical thoughts.
It is a wide and varied territory to be explored not yet known whose profound suggestion is related to the need to enhance and transmit the knowledge and the memory of the performing arts as an essential part of our cultural heritage.

It will be a parto of the examination.
Teacher led lessons will take place with the support of power point presentations and documentaries, also in Mooodle.
Within the limits of the course organization a visit to an archive, a museum and if possible an exhibition or collection will be arranged.
