Upon completion of this Vietnamese course, students will have achieved the following objectives:
- Interpretative Communication:
• Listening Skills: Improve your ability to understand spoken Vietnamese in various everyday contexts, including dialogues, interviews, and short narratives, even at a regular pace.
• Reading Skills: Enhance your reading comprehension across a range of topics, such as news articles, short stories, and informative materials. Extract essential information and recognize varying perspectives.
- Interpersonal Communication:
• Speaking Skills: Advance your conversational fluency, enabling you to engage in more detailed discussions on diverse subjects. Express opinions, provide justifications, and navigate social interactions confidently.
• Writing Skills: Develop the capability to write coherent, structured texts, including longer emails, essays, and formal letters. Communicate information, arguments, and narratives effectively.
- Presentational Communication:
• Speaking Presentations: Deliver clear, organized spoken presentations on various topics, including personal experiences, interests, and opinions.
• Writing Presentations: Create detailed written compositions and reports on topics of general interest, using relevant details and examples.
- Intercultural Communication:
• Understanding Culture: Deepen your understanding of Vietnamese culture, customs, and societal norms. Recognize and appreciate cultural nuances, applying this knowledge in diverse cultural contexts.
• Cultural Awareness: Interact confidently with native speakers from Vietnam, demonstrating an understanding of cultural differences and employing appropriate etiquette in various situations.

The final oral exam: 40%
Total: 100%
The evaluation criteria for this course are as follows: The partial written exam accounts for 60% of the total grade, while the final oral exam contributes 40%. Together, they make up the complete 100% assessment.
The written examination has a duration of 60 minutes, while the oral examination spans 15-20 minutes, adjusting based on the number of students undertaking the assessment.

Part 2: Vocabulary 20%
Part 3: Grammar 20%

Part 1: Self-introduction 30%
Part 2: Role play on a given topic 40%
