The course is aimed at providing fundamental knowledge of EU law for an adequate understanding of the EU legal system and its role among the actors of the international community.
In particular, the historical development of the EU, the normative sources of EU law and the EU institutions, as well as specific matters of EU competence will be studied.
Said issues will be addressed having regard to the protection of fundamental human rights.
Each topic will also be analyzed with regard to cases drawn from the jurisprudence of the ECJ.
During classes, current issues such as the European Green Deal, sanctions, migration law, EU elections, and EU action on gender equality, will be addressed and discussed through seminars, workshops and teamwork.

3) Present the outcomes of team works related to EU policies.

Honours will be awarded in the presence of applied knowledge and understanding with reference to the syllabus, ability to connect legal concepts and communication skills, excellent.
Lecture and workshops aimed at studying and discussing ECJ judgments and specific topics.
