The course will offer an introduction to developmental psychology. Starting from the definition of what developmental psychology is and what is meant by the psychology of the ages of life, cognitive processes will be explored. Each of them will be explored in the development of the individual.
Students will learn about the stages of development and the importance of genetics and the environmental context for their evolution. They must demonstrate knowledge of the different theories of cognitive, motor, linguistic and emotional development and their importance for the social development of man.

Written exam with open-ended questions. Students will be given five questions to answer in approximately one hour. The exam will NOT be open book. Students will be evaluated based on their knowledge of concepts and notions presented in the required textbook. There is no distinction in the curriculum between attending and non-attending students.
The course will be interactive with presentations of the students in the classroom.
